She wrote that she was "overwhelmed," by the moment. "This was my 44th 500. And may just have been the best. Done with class and pure talent," she tweeted.
She fielded many notes of congratulations for her husband, including ones from Katie Couric and Patrick Dempsey.
"I bet I can count to four if I have to ;)" she tweeted in reply to a fan.
To another, she said, "And isn't it great good fun when Higher Power's will happens to be congruent with one's fondest wish for a loved one?"
