She and Christine Marinoni were married Sunday, three years after getting engaged at a rally to support same-sex marriage in New York, her rep confirms to Lifeline Live.
Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera, her rep says.
Nixon, 46, and the education activist, 45, have been together since 2004. Last year, Marinoni gave birth to their son, Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni. Nixon has two children from her previous relationship with photographer Danny Mozes.
