In the case of Nicollette Sheridan vs. Touchstone Television, the TV group looks to be coming out on top.
The Hollywood Reporter says Sheridan was dealt a "major setback" to her lawsuit this weekend, when an appeals court issued a ruling delaying a planned September retrial indefinitely, and suggesting that the key claim in the case likely should have been resolved in favor of Touchstone.
Back in March, a Los Angeles jury failed to reach a verdict over whether the actress was owed about $4 million after she says she was improperly fired from the hit ABC series by c reator Marc Cherry.
Sheridan's lawyer, Mark Baute, tells THR they are continuing to pursue the retrial.
