'Dancing With the Stars' cuts TV favorite

Melissa Gilbert was the obvious candidate to be sent home on Tuesday's Dancing With the Stars results show. She had the lowest scores and constantly hovers near the bottom of the leaderboard.

So was the Little House on the Prairie star sent packing? Or did those wily judges pull another surprise move?

First, we got to see Maria Menounos and Derek Hough dance their 10-10-10-winning, fang-tastic, vampire-themed paso doble again.

We were also treated to the moving story of Steelo Vasquez, a top dancer in music, film and tele vision, who suffered a brain aneurysm last year that left him unable to speak and walk. He spent six months in the hospital and is still in physical therapy five days a week. He took the stage with popular dance group the Groovaloos for the first time since his aneurysm and was able to pull off a lively hip-hop routine.

Booted DWTS competitor Gavin DeGraw returned to the ballroom to perform. As he sang, his former partner, Karina Smirnoff, danced with pro Louis Van Amstel.

At one point, when the show returned from a commercial break, host Tom Bergeron said, "I don't know what just happened, but I think that Mark Ballas is going to someone's prom." The camera cut to a young woman who was smiling and pointing to herself.

So who had to dance in a duel for survival?

William Levy, Maria Menounos, Katherine Jenkins, Donald Driver and Melissa Gilbert were all deemed safe!

It came down to a dance duel between Disney star Roshon Fegan, who had to dance in the duel last week against Gladys Knight, and Family Matters star Jaleel White. Before he danced, Jaleel described grouchy judge Len Goodman as "the old guy outside the grocery store who won't give a kid any money for candy."

The two stars danced a rumba with their partners at the same time. The judges said both did well, with Len adding, "It breaks my heart that one of you has to go, but it's the name of the game." In the end, all three voted to save Roshon. Bye-bye Urkel!

"I'm going to tell you a secret," said Jaleel at the end. "I really only thought I'd last about three dances in this competition. ... I've made incredible friends. The fans have been incredible. I love R oshon Fegan. I'm happy they saved him; he has a bright future. Len, give him a 10. He's the little kid outside the grocery store!"
