Superheroes will fly off the shelves on Free Comic Book Day

Local comics shops all over the world will give away more than 3.5 million comics to customers, including a special Avengers introductory issue a day after the movie opens. (A list of participating retailers can be found at FreeComicBookDay.com.)

Superheroes are a part of every Free Comic Book Day, held the first Saturday of every May to hook new readers into their local comics stores and hopefully make them regular customers. But there also are several books of various genres that will appeal to children and adults.
