A new trailer has just dropped for the new HBO series The Newsroom.
It's from Aaron Sorkin, who wrote The Social Network, so you know it's gonna be good.
(And if not, meh, we liked The Social Network so much we'll give him a pass.)
The series is described as a show that:
"[â¦] chronicles the behind-the-scenes events at a fictional cable news channel with an anchor who together with his staff sets out to put on a news show in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles and their own personal entanglements."
What's interesting is that Jeff Daniels is the lead. We feel like we haven't seen him in a while, so it'll be cool to see what his character is like on the show. Hopefully, he's nothing like his character in Dumb Dumber. Actually⦠that could be pretty HIGHlarious, if this were all a big joke and it was just the TV version of Dumb Dumber.
Probably not⦠but one can dreamâ¦
Anyway, from the trailer we can tell already we're gonna like his character. (Even if it isn't Harry from Dumb Dumber.)
So check out the video (above) for the newest trailer.
