Even if Tom Cruise wants Katie Holmes and daughter Suri back in California for the couple's upcoming divorce proceedings, that doesn't mean he doesn't have the Church of Scientology keeping up with his soon-to-be-ex wife while she re-establishes her life alone in the Big Apple!
As we've reported, the actress has made some pretty serious steps in ensuring she'll be prepared to raise a kid on her own, and apparently, she even went as far to move into her OWN apartment, separate from the one she shared with Tommy, WEEKS before filing the documents!
And that INCLUDED when he was last in town himself, as sources say the pair never even got together while he was in New York on June 10th - except for two brief visits with Suri!
But according to new reports, the actor doesn't need to be there to keep his eyes on them!
Sources close to Katie have revealed that she's become INCREASINGLY concerned that the Church now views her as a threat to the organization, and that because of it, she's being tracked!
And she's not alone! The paparazzi are on her side!
That's right, photogs tracking her in recent days have noticed several "mysterious" men in a white Cadillac Escalade and a black Mercedes SUV who have been outside her new apartment for the past week, and they don't seem to associated with any publications assigned to tail her!

This must be one of those rare times where she's grateful to have the paps keeping an eye on her - because at least they'll be aware of anything shady that goes down!
